It is a spot where you can appreciate a unique panorama, buy typical quality products, breathe light air or choose an interesting naturalistic, archeological or cultural destination to reach in short time.
This place is the viewpoint “Gorropu”, located on the promontory of Su Cungiadeddu at 830m above sea level, just 5 minutes drive from the Ghenna Silana mountain pass, 20 from Urzulei, 10 from Dorgali and 20 from Cala Gonone.
The facility is situated on the SS 125 Km 190,500, where you can better appreciate the view of the canyon Gorropu, that sweeps the Supramonti of Urzulei, Orgosolo, Oliena and Dorgali, the Gennargentu and the Baronia.
In clear days it is also possible to see the Limbara mountains and the islet of Tavolara in Gallura.
The large square is also the best access point to reach Gorropu autonomously. In a few minutes by car you can go down at the sheepfold Su Monte Orrubiu, go on along an easy path that skirts the Rio Flumineddu and then, after 45 minutes walk, you can reach the gorge.
