Our society Chìntula provides assistance and consultancy activities for audiovisual, cinematographic, television and multimedia productions interested in locations in Supramonte, particularly in the gorge of Gorropu and Supramonte of Urzulei.
Sardinia is a complex and varied land. Its every region has peculiarities and even very marked differences: different types of rock, the orography, the language, the cuisine, the music, the type of economy.
All these aspects make the island an ideal place to create valuable movies and photographic works with numerous and original scenarios.
Chintula operates in the most mountainous and wild Sardinia, the most conservative Sardinia. Between Ogliastra and Barbagia.
The impervious and singular landscapes of this territory have already been chosen for several films.
On the karst plateau of Campu Oddeu, which recalls biblical or western scenarios, “King David” with Richard Gere was filmed; Sonetàula, Miguel and Ballo a tre passi by Salvatore Mereu; Tempus de baristas by Mac Dougall, as well as several advertisements for major car manufacturers. Campo Oddeu is at five minutes drive-distance from the main road ss125.
The same goes for the famous gorge of Gorropu, Pischina Gurthàddala, the Fennau valley, the stretch of the road Orientale Sarda (considered one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in Europe) in front of Gorropu.
Chìntula has been supporting film, television and advertising crews for several years. We can offer mobility with off-road vehicles and minivans; knowledge of the territory, culture and local history; knowledge of useful resources and services related to logistics and hospitality.
Chintula is able to give adequate support to crews who choose the area of Urzulei as their location, but also Supramonte and Gennargentu.
Urzulei in particular, is now able to accommodate large production crews, thanks to the presence of a hotel with 35 rooms, 1 camping service and a number of B&Bs, 5 restaurants, 2 pizzerias, 2 sandwich shops, 1 rotisserie.
